Digital Marketing
This Project is a good example of an outfitter who is ready to invest into Digital Marketing to drive growth in his business. From our initial discussions with Bone Quest Outfitters we knew we had a good fit. We already work with a number of outfitters in Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Alberta and we have seen steady growth for all in terms of website traffic growth, leads, and most importantly, bookings. We worked with Bone Quest through their application to the Tourism Sask Marketing and Events Partnership Program. This program provides additional funding to help outfitters and fishing lodges (as well as other business types) to develop a more comprehensive Marketing Plan including great support of digital marketing initiatives. For this plan, we are building in a combination of new content production, Search Engine Optimization, and Google Ads.
New Content
Working with numerous outfitters over the years, we have been able to develop an approach we call a Content Cluster. This works extremely well with this industry as there opportunity to capture raw content and then produce finished web-ready content in a number of media types and formats. This then results in multiple new paths to the outfitter website, from YouTube, from Google mobile Web Stories, and from organic search. Plus, huge bonus for us, we get to hand out at hunting camp and travel with the guides while we gather the raw content. Beats a day at the desk.
Search Engine Optimization
As a bit of a mainstay in our digital marketing projects, we apply ourselves to improving the amount of organic traffic the outfitter website attracts. We work through a pretty diligent process, extremely data driven, but also with some elements of creativity, to improve the rankings of our clients sites. This, of course, is all done within the premise of attracting traffic from the clients target market. We balance this with Google Ads, a two-pronged approach.
Google Ads
The ultimate traffic source is organic search traffic. Not every website is built to optimize search traffic from day one. In fact, that's almost an impossible task. SEO is an iterative process, incrementally moving closer to the top rankings for your web pages. It is process. In the meantime, there is Google Ads, an instantaneous way to place your website on page 1 of Google search results. It is a pay for performance program, but the reward of more hunters booking, is an awfully attractive reward.
