Before taking the leap to full time consulting, Galen Sonntag ran the Marketing departments for 3 of Saskatchewan's most successful companies, including Cover-All Building Systems, SaskTel Mobility, and National Manufacturing. Galen has chosen to focus the efforts of Netnotic Marketing on helping companies grow their business through online marketing after experiencing first hand how a solid digital marketing plan can be a key lever to marketing success.

Galen graduated from high school in Brandon, Manitoba (way back in 1984, long enough that it no longer matters where or when) then attended Lewis Clark State College in Idaho on a baseball scholarship. Galen won several awards at the school (athletic and academic) including the 1988 Most Outstanding Graduate Award. He then continued his post-secondary education with an MBA from the University of Saskatchewan with a focus on Marketing. While working full time, Galen also completed numerous job related training activities, most notably a Certificate in Internet Marketing from UBC. Recently, Galen has completed the Google AdWords and Analytics Professional Certification.

Galen is an avid outdoorsman and sports fan. For the past 10 years Galen has been a volunteer coach in both hockey and baseball, in both head coach and assistant coach roles on his three kids sports teams. For the past two seasons, Galen has been head coach of the Saskatoon Cubs Midget AAA baseball team. Away from the hockey rinks and baseball fields, Galen can often be found hunting waterfowl and fly fishing everywhere from the Saskatchewan river to southern Alberta and Idaho.
